The final cost of a mailing list depends on the data options you select and the total number of records in your list. There is a minimum purchase price of $25 for each list. How do I pay for my list?
The final cost of your list is calculated using the number of records in your list multiplied by the applicable per-record charges for those records. Your list may have different per-record charges, depending on the data options you select:
- All lists have a base per-record charge, and a minimum price of $25.
- If you choose to receive telephone numbers, additional per-record charges apply.
- If you choose to target your list using demographic or business characteristics, additional per-record charges apply.
- If you choose to add all available demographic or business characteristics to your list, additional per-record charges apply.
Depending on the list selections you make, your list may contain records with different per-record prices. For example, if you choose "all available demographic characteristics," we provide demographic information for those records for which it is available, and the price for that record will be higher.
Our demographic characteristics database contains one or more of the following elements for each record:
- Age
- Gender
- Household income
- Homeowner/Renter
- Median home value
- Length of residence
- Dwelling type
- Marital status
- Presence of children
If we have at least five or more of the demographic characteristics for a particular record in your mailing list, we append and charge for those demographic characteristics.
Our business characteristics database contains one or more of the following elements for each record:
- Contact name
- Contact title
- Sales volume
- Years in business
- Number of employees
If we have at least three or more of the business characteristics for a particular record in your mailing list, we append and charge for those business characteristics.
The cost depends on the data options you select and the number of records in your file.

What information is in the output files?W3 Data's list update tool offers multiple data options:
Best available data: If your applications require the freshest data available, the best option is our best available data set. Updated nightly, it's the equivalent of dialing operator-assisted 411. This data option is ideal for time-sensitive functions such as searching for new listings or processes where even a small amount of bad records can negatively impact your bottom line (check cashing services, shipping address verification, etc.)
Most economical choice: The most economical choice is often the preferred option for high-volume, cost-sensitive applications. Updated monthly, this data set is aged an average of 60-90 days. It is less expensive than best available data option and offers exceptional value.
The data option you select will be determined by the freshness of the input data and your business requirements.
For Residential and Business Name searches, W3 Data's list update tool returns available phone numbers and addresses. For Reverse Address searches, available names and phone numbers are returned. For Reverse Phone searches, available names and addresses are returned. W3 Data's list update tool delivers three output files.
Match file: all the records that have been successfully appended.
No-Match file: all the records that were not appended. You can quickly and easily append more missing data in your file by re-running your No-Match file using different search options. For example, if you updated your list using "Residential Names", you may be able to fill in missing records by uploading the No-Match file and choosing "Addresses".
Combined file: both matched and unmatched records.
